Good, authentic dim sum at reasonable prices. - service was very quick (ordered and got food in about 3 mins) - a bit crowded and loud but good enough to catch up with a friend - not a lot of tables but people finish fairly quickly - it isn't the type of dim sum with carts, you order at the counter - lots of variety to choose from and they take card

Amazing customer service, good prices, and delicious food! We were in a rush and needed something yummy to eat and decided to stop by after smelling the yummy food from outside and seeing all the customers going in and out. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and helped. They had all their dim sum on display so that you could pick which items you wanted and how much. The lady seeing us was extremely helpful and full of recommendations on things that locals love and things that I might like. Everything was priced decently and ended up being more than enough for both my fiancé and I. From the moment we walked in, to getting our food and walking out, everything was done very quickly. We decided to get the food to go and eat elsewhere, and even after the time it took us to walk, the food was still nice and hot. The food was FULL of flavor. The dumplings were huge and packed full of filling. My favorite was the shrimp and chives dumplings. They were full of both shrimp and chives and not skimpy or full of dough. The sauce they gave with the dumplings complimented them very well and gave an extra boost of flavor. My fiancé who's a picky eater, even loved the food. House of Dim Sum has delicious food and great prices. It's a little loud inside for my taste, personally, but if that doesn't bother you, then dining in isn't too bad. We went during the day on a Friday so that might have affected our experience. Thank you to the lady who gave us yummy recommendations! Thanks to her, I now have a new favorite dim sum. Definitely worth a visit!

I'm not a veteran of dim sum. In fact other than gyoza and shumai a few times in Japan, I'm pretty much a rookie. We were wandering through Chinatown and looked in the window at the fabulous offerings. We decided on a few pieces as a much needed snack was in order. The food was tasty, fresh and hit the spot for a much needed snack. I tried a sesame roll the first time with red bean paste. It was pretty good. I'd definitely return and try some different offerings.

Cannot remember the names of what I got but they were all delicioso. Hopefully the photos can visualize how appetizing they are. I chose to sit outside just because I love being outdoor but there is seating available inside. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. They are great at recommending food for new comers. Haven't had good Asian food like this in a while. Highly recommend.

Can't be in Chinatown and not have dim sum! That's just wrong in every way! Party of 4 tourists, walking through from the dragon gates can build up an appetite. We all decided to stop by somewhere for a snack, so Big Bro pulled a tease on me, "Come on, Yelper. Find us a spot!" Luckily, we were only three blocks away, so we were delighted at that. It's a no-nonsense, no frills place. Most of their customers are here to take their goodies to go. There are seats outside but we opted to take one of two tables inside because it was getting chilly. Cuzzo is a sucker for dim sum - really, it's one of his kryptonites - and I think our server picked up on it because the rest of us felt like she took advantage of that weakness: he took almost everything she offered until Big Bro intervened. (Insert chuckle here!) It's nothing bad, really, we all thought it was funny! (But boy, she was good!!!) So our snack stop ended up being a meal! One thing I noticed: these pieces are bigger than what I'm used to. Flavor was on point! We enjoyed everything. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: No idea how much Cuzzo paid, but I'm sure it was worth it. 4. PARKING: Street only. City of San Francisco parking is always a challenge. Plan ahead! OVERALL: 4. We were uncomfortably full but that's a good thing. We certainly needed the energy to walk back to the car - it was all uphill from there! Good choice for a quick grub! Plenty of other dim sum places to try if there were to be a next time, but I wouldn't mind coming back here again to try one or two things we didn't have on this run.
